Based in Nantes and heavily inspired by popular culture, particularly video games, Julie Trouvé, known by her stage name Roukie, uses their soundtracks as a medium for her writing. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Flavien Berger, Caroline Polachek, Agnes Obel, and Oklou, she uses intimacy to question, unearth buried emotions and memories, and transform them into sound. Julie Trouvé creates a world where atmospheric vocal harmonies and poetic lyrics blend with synths and decidedly pop rhythms.

At the Alliance française, she will talk to us about her creative process while performing her first songs.
